I wanted to participate in a mentorship around the time I was promoted to a new position within my organization.
Although I was happy and excited about the position, I was also very nervous. I was afraid I may fail. Quite frankly, there were times I doubted my own abilities, and I was convinced they made a mistake offering me the position out of other potentially equally or more qualified individuals.
I wanted a mentor I could work with whom I can be open, honest, and not feel judged. Yet, that person also had to be someone who was not afraid to be honest and straightforward.
I couldn’t think of starting this journey with anyone other than Emily! I knew she had years of high corporate positions, and she came with extensive experience from both the business world and from the coaching arena!
