Two reasons to have better work relationships

The first and most obvious reason to have better work relationship is that even with AI technologies, there would I believe, always be a need for the human touch in business. A hallmark of successful teams is that there a good professional relationships with your teammates (up, down and across levels).

When put to the test you’d want your team to be there with you, working with you to beat your challengers. That’s what good relationships give you, people who would go above and beyond when it is necessary because they know that you would do the same for them. So if you want to be successful, learn to cultivate healthy work relationships.

The second reason is less stress and more efficiency. When your team is cohesive and your relationships are based on mutual trust. There would be less resistance in getting things done. People feel heard and appreciated and when a decision is made, even when they disagree they get on board. Good relationships also gives you this.

Of course it takes work with intention and follow through to create good relationships in your team. It takes courage, trust and authenticity too to cultivate those healthy relationships. Yet the potential for rewards can be great.

So, remember, in business having awesome products or services to sell are fantastic… however having a great team with people who trust and respect each other to work with… well that’s gold!

– Are your relationships lopsided, meaning that instead of healthy they seem a bit clique-ish?
– How can you make your relationships more inclusive?
