Forming and building healthy relationships with others, is not always easy. Here are three things that will help you to improve and build strong and better relationships with others.
1) Learn to communicate more effectively and understand that everyone sees and interprets things differently. Be open to different points of views.
2) Respect the other person. Their decisions, ways of doing things and likes and dislikes. The same way you would want them to respect you. You may not entirely understand another person’s decisions or ways but you should at least respect it and them.
3) Be humble and authentic. Understand that we are all prone to messing up sometimes and making mistakes. Be open to forgiving within limits and to owning up when you’re at fault with sincere apologies.
On the path to building healthy relationships, you will be tested at times, you will have fall outs and disagreements. You will also have to be vulnerable.
However once you practice these three things:
1. open communication
2. mutual respect
3. humility and authenticity
You would have built in more resiliency in the relationships when disagreements and discord occur.
